Joe Porcaro On John

"John Guerin was one of my favorite drummers ever. His feel and musicianship were incredible. We did many sessions together. He like my son Jeff, left us too soon. I did some jazz clubs with Emil Richards and John would come in to hear us. It happened a few times. John would come up to me after the gig and was freaking out over my cymbals and asked if he could borrow one of them for a gig at Donte's Jazz club. I never got them back. I loved him so much that I didn't care. This happened three times".
